Hobart Wool Co's Pure Merino Wool Non-Superwash (Hand Washable) Yarn is made from 100 per cent Tasmanian-grown and Australian-processed and spun pure merino wool.

This yarn has not been superwashed. This means it has retained its natural, scaly surface fibres, offering superior stitch definition, bounce, texture, warmth and durability, making it perfect for colour- and cablework. It is also sourced from non-mulesed animals, making it both an ethical and sustainable choice.

Great Lake showcases the soft greys, blues, and purples of Tasmania's highland lakes in a yarn that is as soft as a cloud. Use Great Lake in colourwork as a contrast colour, alongside another of our colourways, or on its own to create a unique and durable hand crafted piece to last a lifetime.
Fibre: 100% Pure Merino Wool (22.0 Micron).

Unit Weight: Approx. 100 grams per skein.

Meterage: Approximately 180 metres (196 yards) per skein.

Tension/Gauge: 21 - 24 stitches (knitting) / 12 - 17 stitches (crochet) over 10 cm (4 inches), depending on your needles/hook and project.

Needles: 3.75 - 4.5mm depending on your preferences and project.

Hooks: 4.5 - 5.5mm depending on your preferences and project.

Colours: Hobart Wool Co's yarns are hand-dyed in small batches. This means that colours and saturation levels will vary between skeins.
